I want to become an animator. It might sound boring to say it’s my dream—but the truth is, it really is that simple. I am an artist. I love creating and putting my perception of the world onto a canvas. When I was a kid, I was glued to the screen, watching every new animated movie that came out. At the time, I didn’t understand why it was so captivating. What matters more is what I make of it now. Guilty as charged—I still watch them. But now, I can see and appreciate the work behind it, or at least part of it. For some children, it might be disappointing to realize animation isn’t “real.” For me, it became even more fascinating to learn how something could be made to feel so alive.
A famous quote says: “We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.” – John F. Kennedy. That line resonates with me, because the complexity behind something that looks effortless is truly compelling. Watching the process behind the scenes is galvanizing—it inspires me to want to be part of it. Animation may appear simple when you’re sitting in the audience, but I know how much passion, patience, and skill it takes to bring it to life. That challenge excites me. It drives me to pursue animation not just as something I enjoy, but as something I want to dedicate myself to fully.
