Cindy Dyer

I'm a freelance graphic designer, photographer, artist, writer, fiber artist and avid gardener. Although I began as a fine art major in college, I drifted into graphic design as my major. Over the last year, I've started going back to the fine art explorations. I specialize in publication design and production as a graphic designer.

As a photographer, I photograph myriad subjects, but I'm most passionate about botanical photography, macro photography, portraiture and travel photography. I am an 11-time USPS stamp artist. My photographs have been licensed in 2014 (Ferns), 2015 (Water lilies), 2016 (Kenilworth Aquatic Park lotus stamp in panel of 16 stamps commemorating the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service) and my shot of an African daisy was the 2022 Global Forever Stamp. I love doing garden club lectures, workshops and one-on-one instruction on garden photography sessions. I also love doing contemporary (think fantasy/fashion styles) portraiture of friends and family (and occasional paying clients!).

As a fine artist, I do linocut printing, Gelli printing, oil and acrylic painting, charcoal and graphite drawings, and pen & ink sketching. I've been slowly working my way back to fine art, full circle! My style is loose, colorful and impressionistic.

As a fiber artist, I love to sew, weave and am also taking a few courses in surface design. I'm drawn to EVERYTHING creative!

As a gardener, I love creating a whimsical, plant-filled sanctuary, but with a specific purpose---growing beautiful flowers that I can also photograph and paint!
