An excellent course: well constructed and presented. I thoroughly enjoyed the exercises and subject matter. This is my second course with Laura McKendry - a superb teacher.

Fantastic course! The very freeing and playful practice lessons lead to expressive finished projects. I took the course because I love charcoal and wanted to learn more techniques, but the mono-print lessons were an added bonus! I would have never have ventured into ink but I am eager to try combinations of ink and charcoal. This is the second course I've taken with Laura and I will take any course that she offers!

Lara's lovely course has inspired me to pick up charcoal again after thirty years. I feel inspired to relook at my animal subjects through fresh eyes and I'm excited to try her techniques and suggestions. I love love love her expressive style.

I found this course wonderful. Laura made we think about techniques I had not considered. She gave me permission to experiment and try things outside of the box. Being able to work on more than one picture so that I don't have to get the sketch 'perfect' means I have been able to produce work well beyond what I thought I was capable of. Watching my subjects in nature and just sketching what I see seems so obvious but it has freed my work up too. Thank you, Laura. I love your enthusiasm.
