Sehr interessanter Kurs mit vielen hilfreichen tipps. Perspektive und Farben lehre kommen meiner Meinung nach zu kurz. Jedoch sind diese Themen einen eigenen Kurs wert. Alles in allem ein sehr inspirierender Kurs.

good for refresh or beginner

I took many water Color in person classes before and I never had a dynamic approach like this before that really motivated me to finally start my sketch book with a vision. Document not only Colors but mostly shadows and reflections.

Alex Hillkurtz’s teaching approach is sequential, which helped me understand his approach. I love, love how he draws his building lightly and is also circumspect in his approach to using ink and watercolor. Quite the lesson for me. Thank you Alex.

This is a very thorough introduction to Urban sketching. It is also very inspirational, and goes through how to find your own style and how to bring buildings to life using different textual techniques. This is a very enjoyable course and I meant a lot from it.

I loved this course. Alex has a very fine way of teaching and his art is amazing. I sometimes come back to certain videos and rewatch them if I need a reminder of perspective or working with light and shadow.

If you want to learn watercolours techniques, architectural sketching, composition, and perspective, this is the course to watch. If you're a complete beginner in watercolours, it may seem complicated. I would definitely recommend to watch it, go back to parts 3 and 4, and take time in experimenting with paper and media. If some concepts like perspective is still too new to you, just keep practicing, you can learn from this course by doing.

Enjoyed this class and that it really moved my thinking about city watercolors - to make them less structured and more fresh.
