Connie ten Bruggenkate

I am a massage therapist and yoga instructor. In my spare time I'm a fibre artist and surface designer. I started out as a hand and then a machine quilter. I have studied drawing and some watercolour and acrylic painting. I love to paint and dye fabrics and in the last six years I've become a botanical printer. With botanical printing I take plant materials and steam them with fabric or watercolour paper to achieve a print. I also enjoy applying paint or ink to household and other materials materials and hand carved stamps to print on paper or fabric. I am inspired by nature, archeological designs and shapes from historical architecture. I enjoy hiking, birdwatching and world travel.
