Artistic Floral: Watercolour&Ink

Hello everyone!

I've just wrapped up my final project, and I wanted to share it with you all! This painting class has been a blast, and I've discovered so much about myself and the world of watercolour painting—it's like a soothing muse that brings me both calm and inspiration.

I must admit, for my final project, I decided to keep things a bit low-key in terms of exploration. It was my first time with watercolours, and I was determined to hone in on those techniques. There's a lot more practice in my future, but I'm genuinely pleased with how my initial foray turned out. It's a promising start.

Step 1 - Inspirations
So, let's talk about where it all began—inspiration. Instead of wandering too far into the inspiration wilderness, I stuck to learning about composition and layering. Got my ideas from Inga's work, and it set the tone for what I wanted to do.

Step 2 - Composition and colours
Then, I put together my own compositions and chose the colours for my pieces. I planned to do three paintings, but I've wrapped up two for now. More to come with time and practice, having fun along the way!

Step 3 - Painting process
Finally, the actual painting part. I layered it up to add some depth, but unfortunately, I didn't record the whole process, so the final paintings will have to do the trick 😅✨
My final and personal touch is the details with black and red ink, which I think added more of my personality to the paintings.
