I am a retired dentist and have always loved mosaics.
I started my small business Moontree Mosaics when I retired and make simple decorative outdoor mosaics mainly on slate.
I have recently learnt about using mesh and cementing directly into garden walls etc. I love that process and want to do bigger pieces. My latest venture was making lots of little robins on mesh and installing them for people locally with half of income going to the local hospice charity. There are 38 robins out there on various walls, gates and fences! I have completed a couple of school projects which was so satisfying, seeing the children’s designs taking shape in mosaic.
I work from a very small shed in my garden and watch the birds while I work.
