I’m originally from India but came to live in theUK when I remarried. My husband Gareth is British but not English and we met in Spain on the Camino! I learned watercolors in the UK and do mainly landscapes and prefer abstract landscapes. Being a Nichiren Buddhist I’m drawn to that which embraces the Buddhist Philosophy so that’s what awakened my interest in calligraphy and Sumi art. I also love the movement in Japanese art and Sumi art and often use Chinese and Japanese brushes to get the flowing strokes they can provide. I’m looking forward to immersing myself in Sumi art and to learn as much as I can from Koshu San.
