Multidisciplinary Artist Designer/ Design and Art Educator🪬
I am a graphic designer and contemporary artist who originally studied Architecture Design at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts. I got my master`s in Izmir with a specialization in Graphic Design. I have been working on conceptual art since 2013. From 2012 - 2015 my artworks were published in the journal ''Pagan Dawn'' based in London. Since then I have been active in both local and international exhibitions, including the 2013 Izmir''Ahmed Adnan Saygun Sanat Merkezi'', UK, and participation in Istanbul and Yarat’s 2017 ARTIM residency program in Baku. I am the founder of Absinthe Art Studio(2018) and Gunel Akhundlu Studio.
I have been working in the education sphere since 2018.
From 2020-2022 I worked in European Azerbaijan School as Design Technology teacher and STEAM Coordinator.
From 2022- 2023 I worked as a Design Technology teacher and Project manager in 132- 134 IB Educational Complex in Baku.
Currently, I am an IGCSE Design Technology- Art teacher at Newton International School and freelance Artist in Doha
