Paper: 100 coton 300 g

This stage shows the initial drawing and first wash of the watercolor, painted on 100% cotton, 300 gsm paper.
The light pencil sketch establishes the street perspective and main shapes, while a soft atmospheric wash sets the mood and light direction.
Cool grays and warm ochres begin to define the value structure, with a subtle orange glow marking the focal area where cars and figures will later emerge. The cotton paper’s texture helps create smooth wet-on-wet transitions and a natural softness in the background.

This is the final stage of the painting, where details, contrasts, and focal elements bring the scene to life.
Figures, vehicles, and streetlights are defined with confident, expressive brushstrokes, while subtle highlights and warm accents enhance depth and atmosphere.
The balance between loose washes and precise marks creates a dynamic urban mood, capturing both light and movement.
