Creature Sketching Project

I created many watercolour blob creatures for each day, sometimes doing more than one a day, inspired by one of the given assignments. For each separate page, I tried using different shape types, such as triangles, circles, squares, etc.

For this project, I used watercolours along with a water pen to create obscure shapes, and then I used a Mogyann brush tip marker to do the outlines and details.

First, I did a bunch of water colour blobs and turned them into creatures like one of the previous exercises. The green page focused on more triangular shapes, the red/ orange were more square-shaped, the blue was more round, circular shapes, and the yellow was a crazy combo of a bunch of random shapes.

Then, I chose one of the creatures that I wanted to expand on and do a separate illustration for. In this case, I chose this one.

For the final drawing, I used a pencil to sketch a base idea of the form, then I went in with the same brush pen marker used before to add details. Once that was done, I went in with watercolour crayons to add some colour.
