Tiago Judas

Tiago Judas (São Paulo, SP, Brazil, 1978) holds a BA in Fine Arts from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado - FAAP (São Paulo, SP, Brazil, 2001) and a full degree in Art from Centro Universitário Belas Artes in São Paulo (São Paulo) Paulo, SP, Brazil, 2009). His artistic production includes drawings, objects and videos, as well as comic books.
Since 2000, Judas has exhibited in important Brazilian cultural institutions and has also exhibited works in countries such as Germany, Austria, Spain, USA and Peru. In 2007, Judas was awarded the Acquisition Award for the 14th Salão da Bahia (Salvador, BA, Brazil).
In his works, Tiago Judas seeks to reconcile plastic arts and comic books, making one influence the other. It is also worth mentioning that, over the last few years, Judas has also worked as an independent illustrator for newspapers, magazines and book publishers and also acts as an educator, since 2001 he has guided art workshops in cultural centers such as Sesc, Museu da Imagem and do Sound, Paço das Artes, Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo, Culture Factories, and other projects.
