Irene Bandieri

My name is Irene Bandieriand since april 2021 I have been resident in Berlin. I graduated with a Master's degree in Architecture from Italy's renowned Architecture Università degli Studi di Ferrara with my thesis in Landscape developed in the city of Sassuolo, Italy. After graduation I came to Berlin as an intern at an Architecture and Landscape office, ANNABAU Architektur und Landschaft. Six months later, I was hired full time where I continued to work till the end of 2023. At ANNABAU I created competition proposals for projects all over Germany, several of which we won or finished as finalists.

I vision Architecture as a vibrant continuum of learning and discoveries, with the potential to help people in need and make lasting positive impacts on their lives. Although I consider myself to be a generalist, I have a growing passion in social housing, collective program building and public urban projects where I think the space in the city and the voids should be conceived and projected, mainly for their intrinsic characteristics and for the necessities of the future users. I strongly believe Architecture needs to challenge itself and investigate the creation of temporary and sustainable solutions to face the future demographic and social scenarios, also to preserve and evaluate the existing and delicate environment between the cities and the natural landscape. The image of an architecture, like of an urban space, necessits a coherent design within the understandment that the same external appearance is a whole with the surrounding.
