Sanjoli Rakyan

As a child I was a thinker, a dreamer, a loner... with so much to share and no one to share it with. As I grew up, I followed the safe path of becoming an interior designer, where I was constantly honing my aesthetics and designs, but my expression was confined to the choices of many others. Amidst an array of question from 'What am I doing?' to 'What I want to do?' to 'Where is my voice?', was when I picked up a blank canvas and started painting.

From that day till now, I keep coming back to my studio enthused, day after day and find my solace in Painting.
If nothing else, it's my statement. My paintings laugh, they flirt, they scream and they says it all without me saying a thing. Against the unpredictability and chaos of the outside world, my journey as an artist started from outside in and is gradually evolving to inside out.
