I've been creative all my life - drawing, painting, sculpting, as well as being a professional portrait photographer - but decided after taking a "paint-and-sip" class that I wanted to share art with others. I started out as a Licensee of Painting & Vino (their very first licensee), teaching acrylic painting classes at restaurants and wine bars around the Sacramento, CA area. I grew the business for a year before moving on to create my own business, Painting with Rita! While I continued to teach acrylic classes I went to Florida in August 2017 and got my certificate as a Certified Bob Ross Floral Instructor® (CRFI®). I went back to Florida in December 2020 and became a Certified Bob Ross Instructor® (CRI®) in Landscape (this uses the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique® of oil painting). I have also dabbled in Acrylic Pouring in the past couple of years, as well as working with alcohol inks, and water colors - but I really want to take my water color painting to the next level.
