My project for course: Introduction to Japanese Sashiko Stitching

For my final project, I used my husband’s jeans. They didn’t need mending but I though it would be nice when I made sashiko on them.
I had problems to transfer the pattern onto the fabric as it is sturdy, textured and nothing really worked. I tried chalk, white gel pen, chalk pencil, white transferable paper, but at the end I decided to draw it just with black ink pen from inside the pants. I made pattern of shipping and add some patterns I saw on Pinterest.
I also used pattern from sashiko course, bamboo, which I made externally and attached to the pants.
Also I went through “ timble” time, when I could find finger to put it on as I keep changing the way I sewn. Still working on it.
I enjoyed the whole course, it is well thaught and easy to follow.
