I had a lot of fun with this course! Having played so many visual novels over the course of my adolescent life, my mind has always found interactive sequences rather fascinating.
In my first project with the bar scene, I failed to reduce the page count to 5 pages, which was disappointing. However, the script, originally, was 8 pages long - and I shortened it to 5.5. I suppose that isn't too bad! I tried my best to reduce certain parts of the narrative - I even considered scrapping the aesthetic choices such as the callback to Sherry from the precinct - but I realised that doing so would strip the script of its witty ambience. I took inspiration from works like Katana Zero and VA-11 Hall-A, which are fantastic video games, particularly in terms of narrative, and came up with the final script, which, for the time being, I am satisfied with: ]https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_eYxnrSl53KFdd8VVomu3Hsyo7BNkcyTAdHtYG86bow/edit

The Twine project was based on a short story my mother once wrote - something about foxes stealing away the wives of men in a village. I developed the Twine such that the narrative looked cyclical in nature, several passages leading into each other, and possibly, multiple times - thereby resulting in an interesting use of the form itself. Overall, I had a great time with this course and soon hope to build my very own portfolio.
