My project for course: Fantasy Sketchbook: Draw Characters from Imagination

I found this course very inspiring. I haven't shared all the sketches I made for this course, because I actually ended up drawing lots of trees, rocks and sea weed. In the end I decided to use sea weed as my mermaid's tail, because that will enable her to hide in sea weed should she want to do that. I wanted to create a watercolour piece based on my mermaid sketch, but eventually I made a digital drawing, because I wanted my mermaid to look a bit translucent and in digital paintings you can play with the different layers more easily than in traditional paintings. I will probably still do the watercolour one and I am definitely going to create more mermaids, because I feel the one I made now is very simple and I want to experiment with different elements a lot more.
This course mainly inspired my to do to more fantasy drawing. I actually already use a sketchbook almost daily, but I decided to do this course, because I love Dibujante Nocturno's work.
