Nickey Lauren

I am a mixed media Artist, Designer, and Fabricator with creative experience in several industries, including Film & Television, Furniture and Home Decor, and Event Production. I have post-secondary education in Media and Cultural Studies, a certificate in Joinery and Fine Furniture, and education in Industrial Design, with expansive knowledge of materials, tools, and processes.

I aspire to maintain the characteristics of empathy, humility, and curiosity; they have been the foundation of my development as a creative individual, and are what I believe to be fundamental in the disposition of every successful designer. I feel I am at my highest potential when given some creative freedom, and I am always enthusiastic to learn something new. If I am unsure of something, I ask questions. My aim is to absorb as much knowledge as I can so that I may achieve the best solutions possible. Whatever the project may entail, I am confident that I have the skills and work ethic to make the end result exceptional.

I am craving a deeper creative purpose, and I desire to transform what I have learned and experienced in various industries into elaborate interactive, and eco-friendly art installations. I am thrilled to explore this path and gain practical knowledge that will enable me to have that very intention at heart.
