I am passionate about teaching, finding fulfilment in seeing people grow in confidence and excitement with newly-acquired knowledge and skills.
Sharing my knowledge and experience over the past twenty years working and teaching in the field of audiovisual media production with others is a great drive for me.
Taking people on a journey of discovery of audiovisual language and storytelling skills to tell their own stories in a fun-filled way, is my objective.
My courses can help anyone interested in learning how to make social media content for their business or how to document their work or life in video or photo format.
After teaching Spanish independently from a young age (17) as a means to support myself, I did my Post-Graduate Certificate in Education training following my MA in Global Media, ten years ago now.
Since then, I have continued teaching and tutoring independently, but also at a sixth form college and at a university level too.
I can teach a predetermined syllabus, follow a curriculum, or create a course or workshop from scratch. The latter is my preferred method as it makes sure that the content and delivery are fully tailored to suit the students' needs.
I have a webcam and can do online lessons to anyone who wants to learn anywhere in the world.
As well as English, Spanish, and Galician languages (in which I am fluent) I also speak Portuguese to an advanced level, and I have been learning Swahili for the past few years.
