Emily Behnke

Hello! My name is Emily. I am an artist based out of Denver, Colorado.

I have a past in Graphic Design + Marketing but now work as a full time Wedding Photographer. My background in design and eye for composition has been so fun to play with in my tufting journey! I first found tufting back in 2018 and felt so drawn to it and curious. I always joked around and said I would purchase a tufting gun when I had some extra money laying around to throw at a new hobby.

Well by the end of 2019, I finally had a tufting gun and instantly fell in love with it. During my research to learn more about this craft, I found Trish Anderson, (the reason I found Domestika) and she quickly became a huge inspiration to me! I now have an Etsy shop with some of my tufted work in it and I just absolutely love this tangible process after years of doing digital arts. My work is very much so inspired by my love for mid century design and home decor. I am always working to expand my knowledge in any craft or project that I take on and am so looking forward to going through this course with Trish!
