I call myself Camerawaali. I am a visual artist who chose photography as a medium of expression. I held a camera at the age of thirteen and knew it would be my whole life. I started training under a photographer at a very young age and by the time I was seventeen I knew that photography was my calling. And since then, there has been no looking back. My images are an extension of me, like my camera. I am qualified as a Masters in Photography and Digital Imaging from Mumbai and Specialization in Documentary Art Photography from Madrid,Spain. I have been a part of various Artist-in-Residence programs in Italy, Spain & India and have been associated with cinematography and commercial work in Mumbai. I am constantly looking for an image that speaks to me. My idea is not to make pretty pictures but weave stories through my work.
