I started drawing when I was a child before I attended school. There was nothing exceptional about the drawing, or paintings, but I attended the Rhode Island School of Design for 2 years before going into the army and spending a year and a half in Vietnam. I regret not doing any art while I was in Vietnam.
When I was released from the army I finished my bachelor's degree at Brigham Young University. I took academic courses but also watercolor, print making, drawing, craft and jewelry classes.
I have worked selling insurance (better as a memory than an experience), onshore support to the offshore oil fields in Rhode Island, Newfoundland and Louisiana, warehouse manager, computer programmer, carpenter, project manager, software support, husband, father, grandfather, brother, scoutmaster in three different troops, and lay minister to a congregation. I am closer to the end of my trail than the beginning.
I have enjoyed your work over the years - especially your robots - and purchased several of your books for myself and as gifts. Most of my work recently has been with colored pencils and ink. I have lost some of my dexterity some of my drawings and calligraphy show the tremors in my hand.
