Jim Spendlove

I am an illustrator based in Newcastle, I've been freelancing for 3 years mainly specialising in music related illustration for digital cover art, vinyl sleeves, and short animated loops to accompany music on social media/YouTube. I work predominantly in the Hip Hop instrumental/Lofi genre with labels such as Chillhop Music and Lofi Records to name a few, and numerous independent artists in the genre.
My work relies heavily on line work, coupled with muted colour palettes and grainy overlays to create moody scenes, the often open narrative of the work leaves room for the viewers interpretation.
