Germán Delgado García

I'm Germán, I'm a web developer, and I'm looking for a position where I can continue to grow as a programmer while gaining experience and adding value to the company.

In the year 2021, I have reinvented myself and changed my professional career. In March I started the Ironhack Bootcamp remotely. After two weeks of getting started in coding, I did my first personal project, a 2D video game, in which I applied my new front-end skills. For the next two weeks, I learnt new back-end skills, making my first full-stack project, incorporating the new skills I had acquired and making a personal music library, gathering information from an external API and adding it to our own database. And finally, after a week of learning React, together with two colleagues from the Bootcamp, we developed e-commerce, where customers can get information, save and buy their favourite plants, and sellers can manipulate the content of the website (users, stock, posts,...), and where we put team working into practice.

Before I changed my professional career, I worked in a theatre, as a sound technician.  However, this professional background gave me a lot of skills. For example how to work in a team and to adapt to the different companies I worked with, as every show changes 100% both in terms of technical equipment and human resources, and I worked with 1 to 2 different companies per week. I also learned to work under pressure, as any problems that arose had to be corrected without affecting the show and within the time limit set by the audience.

Apart from the fact that I like to work in a team, I am a curious person and motivated to keep learning, evidence of this has been my change of professional career, which has just started.

My native language is Spanish. My English still needs to improve, but I am working on it. I am working in a coliving/coworking environment, interacting with people from other countries, where I am practising to improve my communication skills in English. I am very motivated and I would love to join your team, not only to improve and grow as a professional but also to add value to the company with my work.
