I’m passionate about drawing, especially hatching. My beginnings were in comic strips I created in primary school, and I continued nurturing this passion in middle school by taking a painting course in seventh grade. However, I never dedicated enough time to develop my skills further. High school was also a period filled with comic drawings, but I feel that because I didn’t invest enough time in this passion, I never managed to identify my own style.

Currently, I really enjoy children’s storybooks. I admire minimalist illustrations, but I’m also a great admirer of more complex pencil hatching drawings. If I were to choose a direction to follow, I think I would be most drawn to pencil work, hatching, and a combination between that and minimalism.

I hope that Valentina Toro’s course will help me finally complete the book and story featuring a character I’ve been carrying with me for the past six years.
