Enrico Borsani Colussi

My name is Enrico Borsani Colussi and I am a Venetian visual artist born in 1974.

I started my professional career from photography and graphics by founding the Sothis Design Studio in 1994, to then devote myself to videomaking and music as forms of artistic expression.

From a technological burnout I felt the need to move away from the digital world. I sold my equipment and found in nature a new point of balance and a way to express my creativity.
In 2020 I started FOIE, a project of botanical art.

I choose the paper, I collect the leaves, press and dry them, cut them to compose my works. I make the cellulose glue by hand, in order to completely "botanicize" the artistic process. Despite the aesthetic attention, my works start from a narrative expedient, a message, a food for thought or a provocation favoring the vital space of creative confrontation. Through a symbolic language, my outlines subjects, movements and relationships, the constitutive parts of my works.
