I love to spread the joy of reading, writing and drawing through my books and workshops. I created the ‘I Can Draw’ series of step-by-step drawing books featuring characters based on simple shapes, published by Quarto. In addition to activity books, I illustrate for the picture book and preschool markets.

I’ve written several fun and topical picture book texts, and I’m developing some board book texts, focusing on important topics that aren’t often covered in the current market. I’ve also developed a diary style chapter book with a strong female Muslim central character who has a very big imagination. I’m currently exploring publishers and agents to find the right home for my writing.

I run popular comics and illustration workshops for schools, SEND settings and other organisations in London and beyond, including Discover Children’s Story Centre, Museum of the Home and the Sharjah International Book Fair. I’m a Creative Engagement Librarian with a previous career in fashion design.
