Sebastián Baptista (Sebas) is a Director and Animator specialized in Motion Graphics. From 2011 to 2014 he was co-director of the study Sebas and Clim .
Throughout his career there are three elements that have influenced him constantly: The type of environment in which he moved, the experience he was acquiring and luck. But, as he says, "luck has to be helped" through learning, vocation and perseverance.Sebas managed to place himself in the elite of international animation and, in his more than 10 Years of career, he has learned a series of techniques, concepts and tricks that he will share with you in this course.
Many of the things he explains can be put into practice in animations in After Effects, but others will be useful for any type of animation or editing project.
IMPORTANT: Sebas will teach tricks and techniques of the professional use of After Effects to improve any animation in time and quality. However, prior basic knowledge is required on how to use this program before beginning the course.

Wat is inbegrepen in deze cursus?
You will start getting to know Sebas and his most outstanding works.
Then you will go into the foundations of Animation discovering the why of things. For example, you will identify which technique works best with each idea and you will adapt some basic principles of animation to Motion Graphics.
Once you have understood the basic concepts, you will move on to the planning phase creating the sketches, storyboards and animatics to bring your own story to life. If you do not know how to draw, do not worry, you'll see other ways to do it.
Next you will learn to identify the general tempo of a story and the emotion graph.
You will also learn how to move things to express a feeling or personality, design the movement and learn to make the transition easier, faster and more practical in the world. You will also discover the technique of reduced animation (or Smear) that consists of counting more in less time.
Then, Sebas will teach you some tricks of the professional use of After Effects. It will tell you how to maintain order, how to plan the composition, and everything necessary to make it easier for you to work. It will also show useful shortcuts and learn to work with graphic curves, expressions, connect animations and create systems, you will discover the usefulness of using the guides and how to create an animated plot in minutes.
As a closing, from a more personal point of view, Sebas will give you some advice about the profession and how to give visibility to your work.
