“In this lesson we deviate a bit from the course project to work a more abstract terrain, in which readability is not as important as the expressiveness of the stroke. In addition to working with a much freer stroke than before, I use a paper and a technique of mixing sumi and watercolor ink that gives us a very personal result. Look at how I play with the different elements, taking advantage of the properties of the paper, the ink and the flexibility of the brush. In this case, it is interesting to think little and act a lot, so that the results are more agile. And nothing happens if we do not get great! Remember that we are only practicing, and to do this kind of thing you learn by staining a lot of paper. Another thing that you must take into account is that it does not make much sense to take this as a model and try to imitate the forms of letters, since it is something that comes out spontaneously and personally, it would be like trying to imitate my voice or my walk. Seek your own way.”
