It's an excellent course for an intro in Substance Designer.

The course covers everything you need to know to start new projects yourself, as well as plenty of relevant advice on problems you may encounter on your way and how to deal with them.
Many things are explained in great detail, especially the logic of how graphs work.
Be prepared, however, that without prior knowledge of the programme, some parts of the course may be more difficult, not because of poor guidance, but because of the sophistication of the project itself and the size of the graph.
