Disappointed that the drawing of the tulip was a different angle than what was shown. Also, Lapin did not talk or explain as he was working. It would have been nice to know the size of pens when he changed & also, the paints, brushes, colors & pens, etc.

This is really a nice course, especially the way Lapin gives the instructions. His presence is very calm and he inspires you to slow down, take time to see and notice the details.

I'm enjoying this class. Lapin walks the student through his approach to illustrating succulents and flowers using a fineliner and a limited number of watercolors to create all the colors needed to recreate what you see. The videos of Lapin drawing are very thorough, resources are extensive and inspiring, and the instructions to complete the assignments are clear. Lapin responds to all forum entries and he encourages students to move ahead even when they make a "mistake" while drawing.

Very good at focusing in what you actually see.

Botanical Sketchbooking: A Meditative Approach by Lapin - It continues to be a beautiful experience. Lapin's teaching method truly helps sustain drawing with a very natural pace and to focus on really "seeing" what is in front of you. Each aspect of the creative process is presented clearly, doable and also has to do with self-care, especially when one needs to pause from everything, relax or stop thinking for awhile. He aprendido y disfrutado muchísimo el curso. Aun no lo he terminado. He tenido el tiempo muy limitado, pero los ratos que logro destinarle son muy agradables y muy enriquecedores. Tengo un gusto especial por el sketch urbano, por lo tanto la mayor parte del tiempo dibujo rápido. En este curso he tenido la oportunidad de aprender a privilegiar la observación y la relajación al dibujar. Es esta la enseñanza mas enriquecedora. Espero continuar con el curso y llegar al proyecto final.
