Christopher Rouleau

Hi! I'm a lettering artist, sign painter, and graphic designer based in Toronto. Along with my full-time freelance work, I am also a public speaker, lettering instructor, and published author, and my work has been featured in Spacing Magazine, Uppercase Magazine & Flare Magazine. I recently received a Communication Arts Award of Excellence in Typography.

My brand is an extension of my personal art practice & research, which focusses on the analog techniques of
brush lettering & sign painting, rooted in the pre-digital commercial arts style of the 1940s-1960s. My work
brings this tradition forward into the 21st century, with two main objectives: to share my deep, heartfelt
appreciation of the craft of handmade letterforms & typography, and to inspire (and challenge) people with
text-based art. Christopher (the brand, and the artist) is equal parts innovation & inspiration.
