Benny Wheeler

I'm a Learning Support Assistant and a Creative Writing student (currently on my final stage of study for my degree, writing a horror novel) with an interest in learning more about Copywriting. Maybe after a few courses I'll improve my profile!

I took part in UCL's Flow Unlocked project in 2020. The focus was autistic experiences in lockdown. One of my poem was then commissioned to be made into a short film, which was shown at the Bloomsbury Theatre throughout the Out of Touch festival.

I have also collaborated with a fellow student on a couple of projects. I wrote copy for her illustrations, and she turned one of my short stories into a graphic novel.

I found it really rewarding being involved in these creative and collaborative projects and hope to take part in more in the future.

I use English and British Sign Language.
