Introduction
When I first found this photo, it really spoke to me. So I decided to challenge myself with drawing it but took some liberties in adjusting the hair to how I want it and decided to do a dark background to make the portrait pop more. Before then, I had never done something to this caliber and it was fun figuring out how to do the textures of the hair and skin. It's my favorite work that I've done so far.
Supplies
I used quite a lot of different supplies. Most of which Jono uses (graphite powder, cotton wool, makeup brushes, kneaded eraser, electric and mechanical eraser, regular Faber-Castell pencils, and more).
Grid
I'm a big fan of the grid method, so first started with that. Then worked section by section.
