My three characters are some sort of plant fairies. I had to do a lot of sketching, because I found it difficult to come up with characters I could ‘love’ 😉
First sketches with pencil on paper, the rest digitally in Krita.
Square (Oak) – Strong, solid, a bit inflexible
Circle (Dandelion) – Kind but a bit forgetful, fleeting
Triangle – Volatile, unstable, unfiltered

I absolutely LOVE your characters! I really like that that you really took advantage of the shapes, even on the supporting elements, like the plant for the square, the round dandelion for the oval and the sharp leaves for the triangle!
It really makes me happy to see that this helped you create these beautiful and interesting characters.

@carmelatf Thank you so much for the feedback! Yes, I enjoyed the course a lot, and it was something of an eye-opener too. At some level I was aware of basic geometric shapes in character design, but thanks to the course I really see it now, and I feel a bit more confident drawing characters from the imagination!
