LEMBRADEIRA is a design project dedicated to the preservation of rural memory.
Being aware of generational and social changes and the importance of this way of life, this work seeks to safeguard it through the memories of rural people.
The project consists of a book, structured through the seasons of the year, where the memories belonging to the residents of Coiro, the parish where I live, are presented.
This publication emerged as a means to try to transmit and value this way of life, also seeking to serve as a link between generations.
On the other hand, to disseminate the project and invite participation, postcards and a website were created.

An attempt has been made through the design to enhance the importance of the seasons in rural areas, therefore, as we progress through the contents, through the memories, the pages we visit are colored, making transitions from one season to another, without the need to present chapters or evaluative blocks of information.
An attempt has also been made to demonstrate the value of territory in memoirs by including a map at the beginning of the publication. On it, some of the memories in the book are located, linking them to the area where they happened.

An attempt was made to enhance through the design the importance of the seasons in the countryside, for that reason, as we progress in the contents of the book, in the memoirs, the pages we visit are tinted with color, making transitions from one season to another, without
need to present chapters or sharp blocks of information.
An attempt was also made to demonstrate the value of territory in memories, including a map at the beginning of the book. In it, some of the memories of the publication are located, linking to the specific area where they happened.

POSTCARDS / POSTCARDS

This collection of eight postcards make up the promotional gift for the project. In addition to contributing to its dissemination, they also constitute a method of collaboration, since by sending them you are contributing more souvenirs to the project.

Presenting the souvenirs on postcards allows us to share and highlight the memories, and also gives the public an example of what a souvenir is and what type of information they could contribute. However, instructions are also added, briefly explaining the project and how to participate.
When delivering the promotional gift, the collection would be wrapped in kraft paper and tied with what is commonly known as esparto thread or twine, which gives it a humble, rustic and traditional air. Between the thread there would be a label with the symbol of the project, to maintain the mystery of the gift but also to indicate belonging to the project. This packaging would emphasize the idea that we are holding something to send, something that needs to be distributed and shared with other people.
