My project for course: Expressive Architectural Sketching with Colored Markers

Throughout the course, I was kinda doubtful about how to approach the final project since I never did something of this caliber and there were too many ideas in my head, though some wavy lines and exaggerated proportions were on the menu, and made it to the final stage of my sketch I still felt it wasn't something I could call my own.

Even before I mustered the courage to publish the final work I had the feeling my initial final sketch was not good enough, so I decided to make another one in a different format, unfortunately, the result was not what I expected and I had overdone my sketch trying to follow every detail in my reference photo, which was demoralizing at the time, but I still ended up liking the format, since it combined something I was doing on another sketchbook, which was: taking notes on how I was feeling throughout my day, what did I like about my sketch, colors, and brand I used, etc.

So looking back on what I ended up doing to what I wanted to do, I must say that I´m happy now with the initial result, though I would have loved to give it a different color palette similar to what I did with my smaller sketchbook.

And before I wrap this whole thing up, I wanna show the first sketch I did when starting this course as a means to demonstrate that I was in no way good at this since I feared the white page and I did not want to "ruin" what could be my first drawing, and after too much hesitation I drew without doing what I normally do, which is to use a pencil first then trace my drawing with a pen, no, this time I went in without much carrying how it was gonna turn out, the point for me at that moment was to draw, to stop making excuses and get out of my comfort zone, the result was.. definitely something, but it set the way for my later work and helped me lose my fear of drawing.

Overall it was a really fun venture, one that I would recommend to anyone since its just so much fun trying out new things, and even though some things don't come out the way we like them, as the teacher said it's an error you have to live with, the thing is that you keep on trying and always go for more.
