I've been playing around with photoshop for many years but in 2021 I decided to use my photoshop skills, and very rusty school art knowledge to start creating digital portraits. With the use of some youtube videos and some practice I think I can now create a reasonable rendition of a photo.

But here's the thing, they look too much like the photo and not enough like a painting. I need to hone my observational skills, brush strokes and values and colour to create art that is mine and not a simple copy.

That's why I have decided to take some actual courses, to see if I can pick up some new learnings to take my hobby to the next level.
