Alex Amat Alvarez

I’m an industrial designer and engineer working across product design, 3D visualization and Class-A surfacing. What I enjoy most is turning ideas into something real, something that has form, logic and presence.

My background is a mix of disciplines: industrial engineering, digital modeling, automotive surfacing, and visual storytelling. Moving between these worlds shaped how I approach design. I think structurally like an engineer, refine forms like a surfacer and communicate intention through visualization.

I’ve worked on electric mobility concepts, vehicle surfacing, product development and photorealistic renders for presentations and decision-making. I like being involved in the entire process: from research and the early sketches where nothing is defined yet, to the precise 3D surfaces, to the final image or animation that makes the concept understandable to others.

Some things I value in my work:
- Precision: not just in geometry, but in thought.
- Clarity: designs should be honest, functional and visually coherent.
- Discipline: good work comes from consistency, not inspiration.
- Curiosity: every project is a chance to refine the craft.

Background & experience
- Bachelor’s in Industrial Design Engineering
- Master’s in 3D Modeling for Automotive & Product Design (graduated with a 9.33/10)
- Awarded Best Master’s Final Project for the Class-A Porsche GT3 RS
- Awarded Best Final Degree Project for the mobility system ONUX
- Experience with automotive Class-A modeling, concept design, product engineering and real-time CGI
- Currently designing products and mobility systems across different industries, from sports tech to electric vehicles
