As a child I loved art, but I was very bad at Maths and Science. When I was in school maths and science were ‘more important’ than art. So, I was never encouraged to take up art as subject. But now I am a mother. My Son was diagnosed with autism when he was 2. He struggles with communication, but he loves art. And he is really good at it! It is also the best way for me to bond with him. We do art together and we are able to communicate because of it. So, I want to learn or ‘unlearn’ ; so I can be a part of his world, and also discover part of my personality that I did not pursue as a child.
