In my younger days I loved to travel, primarily around the US, and also around Italy and up to Paris. i am now 76, short on funds to travel, but I have come up with a way to do so basically for free. I randomly pick somewhere in the world, either with no particular place in mind, or going to check out a place I read in an article or book. To do this I use Google Earth and Google search. I have kept a journal of my virtual travels. Want to share this idea with those who can't travel due to physical restrictions or lack of funds. There are several sites with walking tours I can recommend, and will include things like receipies and pictures I have taken with Street view on G Earth.
