Hi, my name is Thao.
I am a textile artist and fashion designer. I was born and raised in Vietnam, surrounded by the country’s traditional handmade trades, and the growing art scene.
My interest in art didn’t come to life until I moved to the US at the age of 17. I studied Fashion Design and Art Direction in San Francisco, CA, where the art culture is so vibrant and unique. I was soon in love with fashion and art, the kind of art that tells stories, and impacts the community.
My life took a huge turn when I decided my passion to create doesn’t stop here. I took 3 years traveling from place to place, meeting new people, learning new skills, gaining new perspectives. I soon realize, this adventure is not only for me to discover the world out there, but more importantly, the world within me, my soul.
I love having things to do with my hand. This is when I could slow down in my thoughts, let my hands and my soul guide me through the process. I enjoy the possibilities and freedom to express myself through my art.
