Tangriani received her B.S. in Agronomy (1990) at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) in Brazil, MS in Soil Science at the same University in 1995. Tangriani earned her doctoral degree at the Federal University of Paraná in 2001. During her doctorate, she spent a year as a Research Scholar at the Nation Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA) in Clermont-Ferrand/France. She was hired as Assistant Professor in the Agronomy Department of Federal Technological Federal University of Paraná (UTFPR)/Campus Pato Branco, Brazil in 1994. In 2019 Tangriani was promoted to Full Professor at the same University and in 2007 took part in the creation of the Pos-Graduated Agronomy Program, and since then she has chaired 25 graduate students (10 Ph.D. and 15 MS). In 2015 Tangriani worked with Dr. Alan Franzaluebbers as a Postdoctoral Researcher at North Carolina State University. Tangriani research focus is Systems Fertilization (nutrient cycling) and integrated crop-livestock systems, with an emphasis on N cycles. She published 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals, edited books, and authored book chapters.
