Stephanie Harrison

Born in Canada, I have always loved practical and beautiful crafts. I work primarily in yarn making crochet toys, and have recently returned to other textile crafts, specifically darning, embroidery, and similar. I came across Sashiko while I was looking into other textile crafts because I was looking for a more sustainable and less wasteful way to live. I love my old clothes and hate getting rid of them because they're comfortable and comforting. Usually they are also much sturdier than many of the 'fast fashion' options as well so if I can find a way to repair them beautifully so much the better. I also write, paint, do graphic and web design, film editing, and more. I have found that everything I learn folds into other things so nothing is ever wasted.
