For a period of seven years, I got to discover a new piece of myself. Just below the Andes, in a city where the clouds love to play with the unruly waves and people always carry a colorful smile with them. The authors call it Lima the horrible, a city created by conquerors and that hosted generations of kings. Being half Peruvian, quickly Lima became my new home and really changed my perspective in a positive way.
When after years I had to come back to my birth city I wasn't the same, nor was Thessaloniki. For the first months, I wandered around like a flaneur trying to become one with the urban landscape, trying to understand. Then when I was ready to rediscover the place that I called my home, memories from the past stirred on the surface and I was trying to find people, places, shops, corners again.
Finally, I started to integrate myself again into my well-known city. I got a job as an interior photographer at a big construction company dedicated to the renovation of old apartments. I faced a lot of challenges as most of the time the beautifully and stylishly renovated apartments were very tiny. From shooting to shooting I started to get better but, I can recognize that when I study my progress, but there is always space for improvement and I'm in a period where I question a lot of my techniques and I want to step up and grow my bussiness.
