I'm a photographic artist. I capture moments of time, transformed by light. I see things differently from you. I see beauty in everything. I love bright colours, but sometimes life is just black and white.
Do you see what I see?
I am an accomplished photographer and an accredited photographic judge for the Photographic Society of Queensland. I am also a member of the Australian Photographic Society, having gained my Associate honours a number of years back. I was also the editor of the eMagazine "Monitor" for APS for 3 years. I have had articles and photographs printed in national magazines and an Indian Newspaper.
I learnt photography at the age of 10, learning how to develop and print in Black and White. At grammar school I took up art and technical drawing. . I developed these skills over time. At the age of 14 we emigrated to Australia. I started painting in oils in my teens and sold a number of my paintings. Later in life I had my own desktop publishing business, putting out all manner of stationary, magazines and a newspaper.
When I got to the age of 50 I started to travel all over the world, expanding my photography and meeting other fellow photographers and artists. I have since joined the local gallery. I have had an exhibition there and took up life drawing for a while. I am now learning watercolour painting and trying my hand at pottery.
Life is a continual learning experience, hence developing new skills through Domestika and the various courses.
