Since I was a child, I have always liked to draw and I have been reading and learning by myself, with my enthusiasm in discovering textures and compositions made mainly with charcoal. Later I discovered the pleasure of painting and I experimented with various materials, from gouache, pastels, watercolors, and later, acrylics and oil. Today my preference is oil painting.
I've been learning, reading, participating in workshops, and since 2020 I've been attending a painting atelier. It was in 2020 (with the Covid confinement) that I returned to my artistic origins and started painting again in a more regular and studied way.
Although painting was not an academic choice, my life path and training in Social Sciences (Social Work) were important and exacerbated my aesthetic taste, inspiring me in the art of emotions and collective memories, in which figures are presented in a social context. Having “Women” as central figures in my painting, I try to convey positive emotions necessary for human resilience, such as hope, affection, humor, happiness, acceptance, courage and the instinct for survival.
