Hello, I'm a retired science nerd who fell in love with Photoshop when a free early version came with a new printer. I'm a self-taught photo and video editing hobbyist, and do a reasonable job at it, but I'm a horrible graphic artist when it comes to drawing. I can't sing, either. Just ask anyone to whom I "sang" Happy Birthday.
Animation and video are attractive mediums for telling a story, and I hope to learn enough to add more of it to my current projects. My passion is making STEM presentations in the local communities that address today's science, technology, engineering, and math innovations in a conversational manner that allows debate of the ethical, moral, legal, and funding decisions involved. What are the possible uses and abuses of CRISPR? Why do we want to establish a base on Mars? What's the real story behind climate change? As a chemist, I want to know why physicists are breaking apart my protons and neutrons into smaller particles and giving them more creative names names such as gluons, bosons, quarks, etc? Will AI diminish human creativity? My wife and I love to travel. Each year we spend 3 weeks in a country: many European, US, and Central American destinations over the years. Greece, Netherlands, Germany, Costa Rica, Mexico, Iceland, etc. I love bad jokes.
