Rakel Helmsdal

I am an author and artist from the Faroe Islands. 5 times nominee of The Nordic Council Children and Young People’s Literature Prize and 4 times nominee of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. I have published 27 books for all ages, novels, short story collections, illustrated stories and musical fairytales. I have illustrated my own books since 2019.
